Tours of Scotland Sample Itinerary for a 10 day Tour

Well, the first thing to bear in mind is that there is no such thing as a Typical Itinerary for Tours of Scotland. Not for me anyway. I specialize in matching itineraries to the needs and desires of group members, thus I rarely have a standard itinerary. But, being a " Fifer " from the Kingdom of Fife, I do enjoy showing folks around my native Kingdom.

Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire is another of my favourite parts of Scotland. You're in the Highlands, and yet still close to many major sites of interests, with access to lots social and cultural activities. Dunkeld is an excellent base location from which to tour Scotland.

On the West Coast of Scotland, my favourite areas are Wester Ross, and Skye. The scenery is simply magnificent. But wherever you go in Scotland, you can be sure there will be plenty to see and do, and plenty of time to enjoy it.

The following are just a few Classic Tour Scotland sites often included in any 10 Day Tour itinerary.

The Kingdom Of Fife The Forth Railway Bridge, St Andrews, Falkland Palace, Dunfermline Abbey, East Neuk Of Fife, Lindores Abbey, Balmerino Abbey, Lower Largo, Crail Pottery, Old Golf Course at St Andrews.

Highland Perthshire Loch Rannoch, Loch Tummel, Kinloch Rannoch, Blair Castle, Pitlochry, Killiecrankie, Dunkeld Cathedral, Branklyn Gardens, Aberfeldy, Abernethy Pictish Tower, Castle Menzies, Elcho Castle, Fortingall Yew, Edradour Distillery, Loch Tay.

Highlands and Isles Loch Ness area, Culloden Battlefield, Glencoe, Applecross, Isle of Skye, Eilean Donan Castle, Spectacular Scenery throughout beautiful Wester Ross.

Edinburgh Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace. Group members will also have opportunities to shop and stroll through this famous city.

It is vitally important though that Group Members tour Scotland in a flexible frame of mind as the daily itinerary may change depending on the weather conditions etc; Fixed-in-Stone itineraries do not allow the kind of freedom necessary to take advantage of the kind of cultural, sports and social opportunities that will often present themselves. Don't worry you'll still see everything you want to see !

Tours of Scotland group members will have the opportunity to shop, play golf, visit local pubs and simply go for walks and enjoy local sights and sounds. Let me know your reasons for wishing to Tour Scotland, and see if I can best fit your needs. If you would like to visit independently, or as part of a small group tour, or on another Tour of Scotland.
